As a school we dedicate a huge amount of time developing our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) skills. There is a dedicated session in our weekly timetables and issues are discussed as they arise. We have whole class discussions and circle times. There are also visitors that come into school to help us deliver the curriculum. We have just purchased a new scheme of work which we will be implementing in September 2017. Along with this we have CHIPS (Challenging Homophobia in Primary School) materials and deliver BLAST sessions to our older children. We are currently working towards achieving Healthy Schools Level one which involves evaluating our practise in this subject and writing an action plan to further develop the subject in school.
